Become a Schooldays Parties Plus Franchisee

We are confident that we can offer you an excellent opportunity to earn a substantial income by engaging in exciting and rewarding work.

We are seeking around 70 franchisees (approx. 1 per county).

Building Your Customer Base

Most ‘Franchisors’ carve the country into much smaller areas and look for 1,000 franchisees or more. Our approach is different. – For the most part, we aim to have 1 franchisee in each county (approximately) – so about 70 franchisees.

This will be your own business.

FINANCIAL

Affordable Entry, Transparent Pricing:

Franchise Fee: £3,000

Monthly Rent: £60

With every franchise I’ve ever known there was a franchise fee (Which is usually considerable – often over £20,000), and an additional monthly amount which is often a percentage of sales – typically, maybe, about 5% of sales (or income).

We may describe the additional amount – the example I’ve given here being 5% of sales – as ‘rent’.

I’ll just say that 20 years ago or so I was looking round for a franchise opportunity, and there was virtually nothing under £10,000 – in fact not much under £20,000. And most ‘Franchisors’ carved the country up into much smaller ‘bits’.

Support and Earnings Potential

We will advertise quite widely. All customer enquiries in your area are passed directly to you.

The Ideal Person

The ideal person to run this franchise in their area could be a single person, either a man or a woman, almost certainly under 40.

We are willing to consider people from all walks of life.

The person (couples also considered, of course) should be gregarious (outgoing) with a good personality.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE GOOD AT

Unfortunately the traditional methods of advertising just don’t work anymore – there would be little point in putting adverts in the local paper, for instance – you would probably find you only got 1 or 2 enquiries!

There is no doubt that these days social media is the thing, so the primary ‘accomplishment’ that the ideal person(s) will have is that they are competent at social media (preferably more than one type).

PREMISES

Unless you are lucky enough to own a big property (say, a large house) you will have to rent suitable premises.. Since we are looking to accommodate around 100 partygoers, I would suggest that premises of at least 2,000 sq ft would be required. You will have to find out how much that will cost in your area.*

(The premises wouldn’t need to be in a Prime location – a Secondary location (much cheaper) would be fine. There would need to be car parking available nearby though.)

* Up to now, the operation has been on a smaller scale – from the founder’s own flat.

OTHER EXPENSES

The next major expense (after Premises) will be the acquisition of a suitable number of fancy dress costumes, so that these can be hired out for £2 per night. We suggest about 150 may be required. They can usually be purchased for between £20 and £30.

You will also need 2 washing machines and a dishwashing machine.

These days music can be provided quite cheaply (unless you go to the expense of hiring a DJ).

INCOME

As we have said, the premises should be able to accommodate up to 100 partygoers. And the entrance fee will be £10.

This would mean that for 100% occupancy, the income would be £1,000 per night. So if open 3 evenings a week - £3,000 per week*.

[However, more realistically, if we assume 50% occupancy, and again 3 evenings a week - £1,500 per week.]

* This will be reduced a little by the necessity to provide some free refreshments (crisps and nuts mainly).
